I broke my foot on Feb 11, 2015 while training to make the time standard for the Olympic trials marathon. I was crushed. That’s when I found Fluid Running. I learned a whole new way of running in the water that worked not only my cardio, but my running specific muscles including the core and upper body.
I am a Fluid Runner with severe orthopedic issues. Once I found Fluid Running my world opened up to the possibility that I could get back to regular exercise without risk of injury. Fluid Running is the only exercise that allows me to challenge myself while working my joints (legs) without worry. I feel confident after my workouts because I know they are keeping me physically fit and safe from further injury.
I love Fluid Running. Despite two hip replacements, I am able to have a safe, vigorous, full body workout. Because each class is designed with modifications I can easily control my effort level so I get just the workout I need on any given day. I count on Fluid Running at least twice a week to help me stay in shape.

“At one point I checked my heart rate and it was 170. 170 in the pool is really hard to do.”
